Vitamin D contributes to normal blood calcium levels, normal function of the immune system, the maintenance of normal bones, and the maintenance of normal muscle function. With vitamin D3 from lichens. Lichens are communities of fungi and algae which are found predominantly on trees, moss and rocks. The physalis (Physalis peruviana) is also called the Peruvian cherry, Inca berry and Cape gooseberry. Originally from the Andes, the physalis travelled to Europe via the Cape of Good Hope.
